Open Position: Part-Time Executive Director/Program Director
About Us: Lifesavers Conference Inc. is dedicated to reducing roadway fatalities and injuries by promoting effective traffic safety programs and policies. Our annual Lifesavers Conference on Roadway Safety brings together experts, advocates, and policymakers to share knowledge and strategies for improving traffic safety.
Job Overview: We are seeking a part-time Executive Director/Program Director to oversee the operation and content of the Lifesavers Conference. This role involves strategic leadership, program management, content oversight, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the conference’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the goals of the Lifesavers Conference Strategic Plan.
- Manage the Cooperative Agreement with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
- Supervise vendors that provide meeting planning logistics and accounting services.
- Manage conference finances.
- Oversee Traffic Safety Scholars program.
- Ensure a cohesive program of contemporary educational content.
- Implement opening and closing plenaries.
- Support track leaders in developing content and identifying speakers and moderators for workshops.
- Review and finalize workshop titles and descriptions.
- Support sponsorship development.
- Plan and support monthly planning committee meetings.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Background in traffic safety.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Excellent oral communication, writing, and editing skills.
- Strong leadership skills to guide and inspire volunteers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Non-profit management experience and financial background a plus.
